The name of the group comes from the instruments they play: black with shiny rings. The group aims to bring light and joy in the darkness through music.

Eclipse previously performed at the UCO Faculty Artist Concert Series and in the OKC Downtown Library Noon Tunes. It was one of the selected performers at the National Flute Association Convention in San Diego in 2016.

Eclipse consists of Natalie Syringe playing flute, Gerald Warlick playing oboe, Jenny Rucker playing clarinet and OC staff pianist Miho Fisher.
