Zekariah McNeal, an Oklahoma Christian University graduate from 2016, was an impressive student while at OC, leading through the Student Government Association and attending mission trips to Tanzania with Professor of Bible Charles Rix. After a brief career in engineering, McNeal called on his double-major in Bible to apply and be accepted at Harvard Law School to pursue social justice work.
McNeal recently graduated from Harvard, having studied and focused on corporate law, criminal law and dispute resolutions.
McNeal’s strong leadership skills as OC’s SGA president and his work ethic continued into his academic career after OC. Not only did he serve as a teaching fellow in a conflict resolution course at Harvard and as a notes editor of the “Harvard Law Review,” but he also served as an active member of the Harvard Defenders and the Harvard Black Law Students Association.
Charles Rix, OC’s dean of the College of Humanities and Bible, fondly recalled McNeal for his academic achievement, determination and heart for people.
OC helps provide students with opportunities to leave their marks on the world, and McNeal has truly made his. Be sure to check out McNeal’s Law Review article regarding the impact of identity commitments and how they correlate to negotiations.
