Oklahoma Christian University alumnus Matt Boydstun was recently named the OU Health Edmond “Young Professional of the Year” by the Edmond Chamber of Commerce. The honor was for 2020, but the awards dinner took place in late March. Boydstun graduated from OC in 2004 with a liberal studies degree and concentrations in psychology, Bible and communication. Since then, he has worked as both funeral director and location manager for Baggerley Funeral Home. In addition, he has served as a member of the Edmond Chamber’s Young Professionals group for many years.
OC President John deSteiguer commended Boydstun for his recognition.
“I’m so proud of Matt and alumni like him that serve their communities,” deSteiguer said.
Those interested in learning more from Boydstun about his honor can do so in this short video on the Edmond Chamber’s YouTube page. In addition, Bodystun talked more about his time at OC in this 2017 Talon story by PR alumna Madison Hagood Minor.
