OC’s College of Humanities and Bible offers 10 chapel experiences this year

Multiple programs and divisions offer student-led and faculty-led chapels.

The Ethos program on the Oklahoma Christian University campus allows students the opportunity to seek spiritual fulfillment through a variety of chapels. Below is a list of all the chapels that are offered divisions and programs in the College of Humanities and Bible.

  • The Music Department Chapel is a departmental worship chapel hosted by Spencer Banister each Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Adams Recital Hall.

  • Art Chapel is a departmental worship chapel which Jay Mack leads each Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Judd Theater.

  • Callings: Missions and Bible Chapel is a worship and outreach chapel hosted by Bible faculty member Ben Langford each Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Baugh Auditorium.

  • Safe At Home Chapel provides a safe space for conversations about gender, sexuality and the church. Theological Librarian Chris Rosser leads with guest speakers each Thursday at 11 a.m. in Scott’s Chapel.

  • The Behavioral And Social Sciences Prayer Chapel is hosted by political science faculty member Trey Orndorff each Thursday at 11 a.m. in DAH 210.

  • Testimonial Thursday is a community chapel led by sophomore art major Bryah Davis each Thursday at at 9 p.m. in Scott’s Chapel.

  • Women's Chapel is a chapel led by and for the women of OC; founders and officers include communication majors. This chapel takes place each Thursday at 11 a.m. in Baugh Auditorium.

  • Taking Sides Chapel allows students to discuss all sides of current issues in the world through a Christian lense. This chapel is hosted by communication faculty member Brian Simmons and takes place each Friday at 11 a.m. in Baugh Auditorium.

  • Faithfully-Ever-After Chapel is a worship and community chapel hosted by Bible faculty member Mel Latorre each Friday at 11 a.m. in Scott Chapel.

  • Beam Chapel is a community chapel hosted by theological librarian Chris Rosser each Friday at 11 a.m. virtually for this semester.
