OC will host a free Fall Choral Concert Oct 9

Three choirs will showcase their hard work and singing talents.

Oklahoma Christian University’s choirs, including the Chamber Singers, the Chorale and the Women's Choir, will perform for the semester’s first Choral Concert in Adams Recital Hall in the Garvey Center on Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. The event is free to the public.

Members of the Chorale have put in hours of practice each week since the beginning of the semester to prepare for the concert. This celebration of music brings people together and gives the singers the opportunity to show off their hard work.

The students are led by Choir Director and Professor of Music Kyle Pullen. They will sing a number of classic choral songs. Two will be the German songs "Weinhachten" and "Sehnsucht,” and another will be the William L. Dawson-arranged "In His Care - O." The choruses will also sing a song from the popular professional acapella group Voctave. Additional songs will be from the music of Mendelssohn, Gretchaninoff, Brahms and Tormis.
