History student Jenna Stilling and History alumnus Chris Parker presented at the Nationa History Honors Society Phi Alpha Theta Oklahoma Chapter March 7-8

OC students and graduates are accomplishing amazing things! OC student Jenna Stilling and History alum Chris Parker presented at the National History Honors Society Phi Alpha Theta Oklahoma Chapter March 7-8. Jenna competed in the undergraduate American history category and took second place, and Chris competed in the graduate American history category and won first! Congratulations, Jenna and Chris!

History alumnus Mike Sanders’ state broadband office highlighted in The Oklahoman

OC History alumnus Mike Sanders leads the state broadband office. His office was featured in the Oklahoman, which highlighted the office’s plan to give rural communities high-speed internet service, resulting in $750 million in infrastructure grants. Sanders closes the column with this impacting statement: “The goal is to make sure by the time our office sunsets, there will be no home, business, school, or hospital without access to high-speed internet.
