OC student Communication Program offers students online radio shows

The Oklahoma Christian University Communication Program hosts three online radio shows this semester, each run by OC students. In the last few years, the radio station has been rebooted with extensive upgrades and now broadcasts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

OC student Caleb Phelps hosts two shows this semester. The first is called “Radiant Artifacts,” featuring a dramatic reading of a game script he is writing. It airs live Mondays and Fridays at 5:30 p.m. The other show Phelps hosts is called “Gaming Chat with Caleb.” The show discusses topics related to video games and airs live on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m.

Another OC student, Diallo Prather, hosts a show called “Kickin’ it with the DJ.” In his show, Prather shares news stories that are both funny and serious that have sparked his interest. He also shares new gospel music he has discovered. The show airs live on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Finally, OC student Jacob Morris is hosting two shows. The first is called “The Loft” at noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. His second show, “Wonders,” will launch soon on Saturdays.

Students like Phelps, Prather and Morris are just three of many OC students who have gained the opportunity to express themselves through radio shows while learning how to manage a live broadcast.
