OC’s interior architecture program named the 4th-best in the nation for residential interior design

OC has jumped from a top-20 ranking to the No. 4 spot in the nation.

Over the past year, Oklahoma Christian University’s Assistant Professor of Art and Design Amy Beauchamp has helped her students and the university experience continued success.

Earlier this year, Beauchamp’s program was named a top-20 interior design program in the nation by intelligent.com. Just last week, the program was ranked the No. 4 spot in the nation and was named Best for Residential Interior Design by Intelligent.com. The website ranks selective degree programs at colleges in the U.S.

The website scored 153 colleges and universities, giving each interior design program a rating “on a scale from 0 to 100.” According to Intelligent.com, each program was evaluated on flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost and reputation. OC received a rating of 93.53.

OC President John deSteiguer noted his enthusiasm for the program’s success.

“High praise was given for our residential program in interior design,” deSteiguer said. “Our No. 4 status puts us only behind Drexel University, Thomas Jefferson University and Syracuse University.”
