Mission:
The mission of The Visibility Project is to inform Gen Z college students about the issue of targeted violence towards people with disabilities, as well as promote the radical inclusion of individuals with disabilities and inspire these people to take action and stand against this targeted violence.

“I believe this project will highlight the importance of inclusion and accessibility to things that neurotypical individuals take for granted like jobs, community and even justice. Everyone deserves to be seen, heard and loved. That’s why we named this ‘The Visibility Project.’”

Speaker Series
March 30, 2021
Bobby Kern, OC Family Science associate professor and the previous president of the Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma, informed the audience of the relevance of our mission at the first installment of the chapel series.
April 6, 2021
Tim Herbel is the Executive Director of Not Your Average Joe, a nonprofit coffee shop that employs adults with intellectual and development disabilities. Herbel discussed the importance of radical inclusion and challenged the audience to be “accept-ional”.
April 13, 2021
Eagle PR hosted a panel discussion comprised of adults with disabilities and their advocates for the final installment of the series. This panel included OC students as well as Sarah Soell, the current Executive Director of DSACO, and Heather Hancock-Blackburn, an Administrative Assistant at the Oklahoma State Department of Education in the Special Needs Sector and an employee at NYAJ.
Art Show
The Eagle PR team will host an art show April 23. The art to be shown is a collaborative effort between an individual with disabilities and local artists in the Edmond/OKC area. Members from DSACO and NYAJ complete the first round, while students from OC and the surrounding area finish these collaborative masterpieces. In addition to the art, there will also be a fantastic a cappella performance from the OC singing group, New Reign, at 4:30 p.m. The art show will be held in OC’s on-campus coffee shop, The Brew, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Refreshments provided.
