OC’s Graduate School of Theology publishes annual academic journal

Volume four of Dialogismos contains works from OC Bible professors and students.

Each year, Oklahoma Christian University’s Graduate School of Theology publishes Dialogismos, an academic e-journal. The e-journal is peer-reviewed, open-access, and contains work from OC professors, graduate students and theologians from multiple states and countries.

Dialogismos’ mission is to  initiate and advance dialogue on biblical and theological study topics. The journal also allows scholars to negotiate different points of view.

OC alumnus and Resident Director Jake Doberenz is featured in volume four of the journal. He reflected on his inclusion in the journal:

“I was very honored to be included in the journal,” Doberenz said. “As far as my academic career, it's nice to add this to a resume. Dialogismos has included many astute world-class Biblical scholars, so it's very exciting to be listed among them.”

The fourth volume of the journal included a variety of content:

Articles and Explorations:

  • “Ambiguity Among the Pharisees in John: The Characterization of the Pharisees in the Fourth Gospel,” by Jake Doberenz of Oklahoma Christian University.

  • “Too Much of a Good King: A Judges-Informed Assessment of Saul,” by Nathaniel Michael of Oklahoma Christian University.

  • “Polyphonic Psalm 82: Finding Bakhtin in a Finalized Theodicy” by Hunter Edwards of Drew University.

  • “Appraisal in 2 Corinthians 12:1-10 and Examining Intertextual Relations to Jewish Mystic Texts,” by Doosuk Kim of McMaster Divinity College.
