OC Graphic Design alumna opens exhibit in the Edmond Fine Arts Institute
Natalie Miller’s art is the featured exhibit through January.
Natalie Miller, a graduate from Oklahoma Christian University’s Art+Design Program, opened her art exhibit at the Edmond Fine Arts Institute on Jan 6; it will be up until the end of January.
Miller graduated from OC in 2007 with a degree in Graphic Design and an emphasis in Illustration. Since graduating, she has found her love for painting. She is known for her colorful and abstract pieces, mostly created by using acrylic paint on canvas. Miller hopes the exhibit of her art will help show the community and younger generations of artists how they too can display their creativity and talents through art.
The Edmond Fine Arts Gallery shows new exhibits monthly, featuring artists from the Oklahoma City region. Starting in 1985, the institute has used galleries as an educational experience for artists in the area. As stated on the institute’s website, “Artists of all ages are invited to discover, create, and perform.”
Since graduating, Miller has also seized opportunities to show her art in other exhibits in the area, such as the Pauls Valley Art Walk and at the public library in Norman. She also runs a business selling commissions of her paintings. One of Miller's pieces titled “Reimagined Abundance” is available to view online here. Miller’s exhibit this month was also featured in a recent Oklahoman story available online here.
