Esteemed OC Journalism alumna recognized by The Journal Record for leading Seminole State College
Lana Reynolds, a distinguished Oklahoma Christian University Journalism alumna, continues to receive honors as she leads Seminole State College in Oklahoma. In July, she was named to the Power 2021 Education list, which is created by the Oklahoma City business and politics newspaper The Journal Record.
Other notable achievements for Reynolds include Seminole’s “Citizen of the Year” and “Communicator of the Year” as well as being recognized three times as a member of The Journal Record’s “50 Women Making a Difference.” Reynolds is the current president of Seminole State College, and this recognition reveals her dedication to education.
“Our top educators have committed themselves to enlightening present and future generations by striving to be the very best that they can be in their industry,” The Journal Record said in its report, written about here in the Shawnee News Star newspaper.
Reynolds has proven that OC alumni can make a difference in the lives of students, faculty and staff, even within the trials of a global pandemic.
“In the past year, the pandemic has challenged education in ways that no one could have foreseen or imagined. It took innovation, perseverance, quick thinking, creativity, girt and passion from our teachers and education professionals to provide for students during such challenging times,” The Journal Record said.
