Communication students to raise money for film festival in honor of late film professor

Last semester at Oklahoma Christian University was hard on many students, especially Communication students studying film. Beloved film professor and director of Eagle Films, Dave Jurney, tragically passed away. Eager to finish what he had begun, the students committed last spring to finish a film in his honor. They are now attempting to raise the funds to enter it in the Austin Film Festival’s faith-based film block, which was created by AFF to honor Jurney..

The students will hold a fundraising night at local coffee shop Not Your Average Joe, located on 1227 N. Walker Ave. in Oklahoma City on Aug. 21. from 6:30-8 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres and coffee will be served.
