OC English alumna and Oklahoma Board of Regents Chancellor spoke at OC about the state of higher education

Oklahoma Christian University was happy to welcome back a graduate and now well-accomplished leader, Allison Garrett. The English alumna shared knowledge and insight about the state of Oklahoma’s higher education with the faculty and staff at OC. This was an insightful opportunity for the educators at OC.

Garrett is no stranger to speaking. She recently gave the commencement at Northeastern State University this year, and she previously served as the president of Emporia State University in Kansas. She has also previously served OC as vice president of academic affairs and was a top executive at Walmart before that. Her daughter, Tori, is also an accomplished public relations alumna working in Oklahoma City.

The one-year anniversary since Garrett assumed the office of chancellor of the Oklahoma Board of Regents will be Nov. 8. Oklahoma is blessed to have a leader like her serving its 25 colleges and universities.
