Associate Professor of Political Science Trey Orndorff hosts prominent guests

Oklahoma County Sheriff Tommie Johnson III and Edmond Police Chief J.D. Younger visited students on Sept. 12.

Associate Professor of Political Science Trey Orndorff enjoys bringing political science topics to life for Oklahoma Christian University students, and one way he does so is through guest speakers. OC’s location near a large city creates unique opportunities for students to meet and learn from great guests.

Orndorff hosted Oklahoma County Sheriff Tommie Johnson and Edmond Police Chief J.D. Younger in his Political Science and Government classes. Both guests spoke about the role of law enforcement and the differences between a police department and a sheriff’s office.

Orndorf  is known for taking opportunities to host prominent speakers to speak to students. This gives OC students the chance to sit and learn from successful leaders.

“At OC, we strive to get even our intro students in with real world leaders,” Orndorff said.
