OC Education alumna promoted to principal of Allen ISD's Norton Elementary

Aimee Cherry was promoted to lead her Texas elementary school this summer.

OC alumna Aimee Cherry was recently named the principal of Allen Independent School District’s Norton Elementary School. Graduating cum laude from OC in 2001, Cherry is an excellent example of how OC graduates excel in the field of education. 

Cherry expressed her enthusiasm for her new job in her bio on the school’s website.

“I am so excited to get to know the parents and students at Norton,” she said. “I believe that a strong partnership between home and school is a key element in the educational, social and emotional success of students.” 

Cherry is not the only one enthusiastic about her new job role. She was welcomed with open arms by the school district. 

“Please help us congratulate Aimee on her new role,” the school district announced, according to Star Local Media.
